Six IAA Students Selected To Participate in Amman Design Week!

Out of 125 applicants from across schools and universities in Jordan, 30 students were chosen to take part in the upcoming Amman Design Week Student Exhibit taking place from Oct 4t-11, 2019. Out of these 30, six were IAA students. Congratulations goes to Mamoun Khasawneh (G9), Nadine Cubeisy (G10), Basem Tash (G11), Joud Ajaj (G11), Zara Madanat (G11) and Al Anoud Shannak (G11). Projects included design, graphics, grey water irrigation, mobile lighting and a prosthetic limb proposal.
Personal Body Safety In Primary

Primary Counsellors Ms Maria Patino and Ms Sophie Hamam presented “Personal Body Safety” content to primary parents. IAA students are made aware of how to keep themselves safe and such efforts need the parents’ support which was the objective of yesterday’s morning session.

As part of Grade 4"s Entrepreneurship project, students developed creative thinking and enterprise skills to design, manufacture, market and sell a reusable shopping bag made from unwanted t-shirts.

Students made decisions and choices about product design and advertising as a team. The money raised will be donated to a local environmental charity.

Al-Majlis Al-Arabi Conference

Al-Majlis Al-Arabi concluded its two-day conference on Saturday. The event, which was hosted at IAA, was under the patronage of HRH Prince Hassan Bin Talal. There were over 200 students participating from both the public and private schools. His Excellency Dr. Adnan Badran gave the opening speech on Friday and the closing was by His Excellency Akel Beltaji.

IAA is proud to see its students take on active roles as Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Chair, Delegate, Staff and Security. Their hard work and efforts translated into a wonderful learning experience for many students, as they worked together to address some of the most pressing issues in the Arab world.
