Primary Parent Workshop: Maths Programme
Thursday, 21 January 2016
Academics -

A peek into our weekly morning IAA parent workshops! This week, parents met our new Primary School Mathematics Coordinator, Ms Carmel, who delivered an informative workshop on the Scope and Sequence of the Australian Mathematics Curriculum. Ms Carmel is available for meetings if there are questions about the Primary maths programme. Appointments can be made through Ms Parveen in Primary Reception. Ms Carmel has promised a hands-on workshop with parents in a few weeks, working through the scope and sequence for addition. Parent-teacher partnerships make all the difference for students.

IAA Grade 4C students were excited to find letters of correspondence from UK's Darrenlas Primary School upon returning from the Winter Break. Mr Vance"s daughter, Ms Joanne Parker, initiated this correspondence to allow her students to learn more about students in the Middle East region. Our G4 students are eager to respond to their new friends in the United Kingdom. They are happy to share their experiences as Jordanians here in the Kingdom, as well as their favourite past times. Good fun!
