Democracy in action at the IAA!
Monday, 15 December 2014

The IAA Grade 7-9 participated in the city-wide school elections for the Greater Amman Municipality Student Council last week. This is a programme developed by GAM to foster youth involvement within the Municipality. Students are democratically elected by their peers to represent them at GAM on issues relevant to youth in Jordan. Thank you to all ALL IAA candidates for your inspiring will to serve and your thoughtful speeches - and congratulations to Osama Abu Omar for collecting the most votes. We are thrilled to have you representing your peers at the GAM Student Council!

I’MUN Conference
Thursday, 04 December 2014
The IAA IMUN team has truly impressed yet again! They have just completed three challenging days at this years on-campus IMUN Conference, where ten local schools convened to engage in a complex simulation of the United Nations. Completely organized by our IAA Secondary students under the patronage of HM Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, the conference demanded extensive research, preparation and focus. The IMUN team also raised funds, which they donated to the United Nations Relief High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). A special thank you goes to His Excellency British Ambassador Peter Millett for supporting the conference as the key note speaker. Last week, the IAA Secondary Choir presented BROADWAY, a brilliant performance of the Broadway classics we all know and love! The pics are finally in! Songs from popular shows like Grease, Cats, Sound of Music and Les Miserables flowed through the IAA Auditorium, tickling our ears and touching our hearts. Thank you, IAA Choir, for sharing your talents, energy and artistry. You managed to bring the glittery glamour of Broadway right to our doorstep!
