IAA Nepal Trip
Thursday, 26 February 2015

IAA students spent 10 adventurous days exploring the beautifully picturesque Nepal. An unforgettable experience filled with physically and personally challenging moments, as well as an abundance of cultural expositions. The students began with an exciting 6-day trekking journey, followed by a 3-day excursion to explore the uniquely diverse culture of Nepal. Climbing up unbelievable altitudes to Poon Hill taught the group perseverance; climbing down, reminded them of the importance of team work. The elephant safari and the elephant orphanage visit stirred feelings of compassion and empathy, and finally their visits to Buddhist Stupas, where they witnessed prayers and other rituals, further instilled in them the acceptance and open-mindedness which we promote at IAA. The students completed all parts of the trip successfully and returned with numerous memorable moments, valuable lessons, plenty of souvenirs and a bond within the group that will last forever!
