The International Academy - Amman Launches a National Day to Fight Terrorism

The tragic death of our national hero, First Lieutenant and pilot of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Muaath Al Kasasbeh, has prompted the International Academy, Amman to launch a national day to fight terrorism with an earnest call for peace, humility, love and acceptance. In his honour and memory, the Departments of Arabic, Humanities and Religion will hold class discussions with students about solutions to fight terrorism in the world. All of humanity is now confronting this challenge together. Lets make a difference.

World Scholar’s Cup Event

This March 6-7, the International Academy Amman will host the first-ever World Scholars Cup event in Jordan, bringing together students from all across the country for two days of learning, leadership and fun. The World Scholars Cup is one of the most recognized, most joyful and fastest-growing extracurricular activities in the world, with over 15,000 students set to participate at over 30 regional events in 2015. While the World Scholars Cup may look like an academic competition at first glance, it is more aptly described as a celebration of learning an inclusive enrichment experience in which students of all backgrounds work together to learn new subjects and skills. “Strengthening the Capacity to Combat Cybercrime in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan” Project

This week, the IAA was pleased to support an EU Twinning Project encompassing the UK Home Office and the Jordanian Criminal Investigation Department. The national project, entitled Strengthening the Capacity to Combat Cybercrime in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, aims to help Jordanians protect themselves and their families in the global information age. Cyber Safety expert and special guest from the UK, Mr. Tony Neate, CEO of Get Safe Online (www.getsafeonline.org), shared his valuable expertise with IAA parents and students on Wednesday.
