The world-renowned Harlem Wizards have come to the IAA! The Wizards visited the IAA Sports Complex today to perform for IAA students, spinning, jumping, passing, juggling, and dribbling their way into our hearts. Everyone laughed, screamed and clapped, as students participated in the fun too - showing off their basketball moves to a very excited audience! Thank you, Harlem Wizards, for sharing your whacky humour and mad skills!
IAA Grade 9 student Leen Khasawneh presented at the Queen Rania Teachers Association (QRTA) Teacher Skills Forum on behalf of IAA. She addressed the professional audience on the topic 'The Community Project', an important component of a service-oriented curriculum which seeks to teach students to identify community needs, develop a plan of action, and implement that plan in the real world. At IAA, applying to university is a very serious business! Moving on to a successful university career is the ultimate goal of the IAA Experience. Students begin the counselling and application process as early as Grade 9, working closely with the IAA College & Career Counselling Office to identify their strengths and interests and to locate the university best suited to them.
