IAA Community Annual Reception 2010/2011

The IAA Community Annual Reception took place on Wednesday 13th of October 2010 from 06:00 pm – 08:00 pm. Parents had the opportunity to hear from the Director, Dr. Hana Kanan about IAA’s recent initiatives and future plans. After which there was an informal reception for Parents hosted by the IAA Board and Senior Management Team.

Parents Presentation - Relationships by Mrs. Hania Lind

On Monday 11th of October 2010, Mrs. Hania Lind “Floor Manager/Counselor” have conducted a presentation entitled Relationships between Parents & Teens” in the Secondary Library.  The presentation discussed different issues related to Teens such as teen years, hormones, Physical, emotional, social, psychological and sexual changes, type of conflicts, type of parents worries, how to behave in a conflict with your teen, how to have a positive relation with your teen, parents responsibilities and advice…etc. Then it was followed by a Question & Answers sessions.

G11 MYP Certificate Presentation Ceremony 2010-2011

On Wednesday 6th of October, the current Grade 11 celebrated their graduation from MYP at a ceremony in the IAA auditorium. The presentation of their MYP Certificates from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) officiated by Mr. Leigh "Head of Secondary School” in the presence of their parents, administration and the current Grade 10, who have celebrated this achievement. Mr. Leigh congratulated the students on their excellent results and challenged the Grade 10 students to aim for a one hundred percent pass rate this year. He also acknowledged the support of their parents in the learning process and led a round of applause acknowledging their support. Students then joined their parents for afternoon tea before returning to class.
