Antigone Production
Wednesday, 23 February 2011
As the audience nestled into their seats, the lights dimed, hunting music opened the way for a Greek chorus to literally float onto the stage. For two nights in front of a full theatre, our talented grade 8, 11 and 12 students presented the classical Greek Play, Antigone. Mr Ashraf (Drama Teacher) - never afraid of a challenge - carefully directed our students to present the play in classical Arabic. The result...very impressive. From the lighting, to the music, the acting, and the setting, it all contributed to an evening of quality theatre. Applause for the wonderful students and Mr. Ashraf! Well done and thank you!
