Outdoor Playgrounds

IAA boasts an abundance of outdoor playgrounds for both Primary and Secondary students. The students enjoy two breaks each day, during which they head outdoors to make the very most of their break time. There are three playgrounds in the IAA Primary School. The Pre-K playground incorporates moveable equipment, allowing teachers to change its spatial configuration on a daily basis. This ensures maximum variety and adaptability, as the facility is designed to support classroom programmes, offering a natural indoor/outdoor flow with the classrooms. The playground intentionally avoids imposing fixed apparatus so the children can be presented with fresh challenges each day. The Pre-K playground encompasses a wide range of equipment, including climbing frames, wet areas, construction areas and several themed pieces featuring slides and climbing walls.  As with all the Primary playground facilities, it has the required soft drop flooring and ample shading. The KG1 classroom possesses a combination of fixed and moving apparatus. In addition to a large jungle gym, the KG playground is also supported by wet areas, a cycling area and an abundance of moveable equipment. The expansive Primary playground features three large jungle gyms, swings sets and slides, a very large sand pit, moveable equipment and a spacious ball zone with astro-turf. Safety and cleanliness take priority throughout all of these facilities.

Secondary students have plenty of energy too, and as such the Secondary School also provides extensive space for outdoor fun. Options include a grassy field, an outdoor basketball court and a "5-a-side" astro-turf pitch. An additional open space of grass hosts a large climbing frame popular among the younger Secondary students. The Sports Complex and main outdoor field are also frequently used during Secondary break time for friendly football matches.
