Leadership
At IAA, Leadership is one of our most basic values, and is in fact one of our fundamental Four Pillars. Leadership pervades the school culture at every level, both formally and informally. Students are given numerous opportunities to exhibit their Leadership and Service ability within a broad spectrum of contexts.
While many formal Leadership positions are available, students can also exhibit their Leadership in other extra-curricular and curricular frameworks. IAA offers:
- Primary Student Council
- Primary House Captains and Vice-Captains
- Eco-School Committee
- Primary Prefect Council
- Peer Mediation
- Community and Service
- Secondary Student Representative Council
- Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Youth Council
- Head Boy and Head Girl
IAA students also serve as leaders in other organizations, events and competitions throughout the year, both inside and outside of school. These include
- Youth Club
- Rotary Interact Club
- Model United Nations Secretariat
- Habitat for Humanities
- Sports Teams
- Robotics Team
- Formulae 1 Team
- And others!
They have also participated in Leadership Seminars involving public speaking, leadership discussion groups and film viewing. Leadership is an integral part of the IAA student experience.
