New England Associations of Schools & Colleges
American and international schools located in foreign countries are eligible to seek regional accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and their Commission on American and International Schools Abroad (CAISA).
Accreditation by NEASC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and indicates that a school meets or exceeds established criteria within the profession for the assessment of institutional quality through a periodic process of self-study and peer review. An accredited school has the resources to achieve its stated purposes and provides evidence that its students are benefiting from the curricular and co-curricular program offered at the school.
CAISA Accreditation means meeting high-level, challenging standards, which are designed specifically by and for American/international schools.
The evaluation process itself provides an opportunity to improve the quality of education offered at the school. The final Award of Accreditation recognizes the quality of the evaluated school, builds confidence among parents, teachers, universities, governments, etc. and results in a better school for students and the entire community.
