Grade 11 Goes to Eco Park
Tuesday, 10 May 2016
Trips -

The Grade 11 ESS students embarked on an overnight fieldtrip to Sharhabil Bin Hassneh EcoPark recently. The local landscape gave our students the opportunity to apply the content and the skills of the ESS course, as well as experience their natural environment. Students conducted two stream studies, where they compared the water quality between the sites. Sadly both sites were heavy polluted, primarily due to human impact. They also did a zonation study to see how plant populations and diversity changed from the dam into the land. By the end of this trip, students developed their practical and observational skills and acquired knowledge, values and attitudes to protect and improve their environment.

Employing sophisticated set design, multi-media effects, impressive choreography and even a live dog, the cast and crew of Annie were the talk of the town. Congratulations to the many parents, staff and students who made this show possible. It was such a treat for all those who attended!
