A great opportunity came for our Grade 9 Drama students on the 26th of January with Dr. CHIARA D’ANNA, and it was part of our curriculum. Who is Dr. Chiara D’Anna: Artistic Director at Panta Rei Theatre. Dr Chiara D'Anna is an award-winning Theatre Director, Performer and Movement Specialist. She is one of the leading Commedia Dell’Arte practitioners in the UK. We were honored to have her as our guest, and gave our students a workshop about the second unit in Drama “Breaking the Fourth Wall” specifically about Brecht and breaking the fourth wall, referencing Grotowski and Boal. This opportunity was meant to expand the knowledge and was also an eye opener on new elements, conventions and timelines in Drama! Was definitely a great experience for our students! The workshop leader was impressed with their engagement, level of insight and creativity as they showed confidence and knowledge!
