Supporting Your Child Through Crises -

The Primary Counselling Team conducted a workshop on Thursday for primary parents entitled "Supporting Your Child Through Crises”.
The workshop provided parents with guidelines and strategies to support their children through traumatic events, such as the ones we witnessed at the beginning of the year. The Counsellors stressed on the importance of trying to keep routines as normal as possible, encouraging children to talk, draw and play as ways to process their intense emotions. For older students they discussed the need to limit the exposure to social media, videos and violent images. The IAA management and staff have been giving support in the classroom in ensuring stability and psychological comfort to all.
