On Saturday the 30th of October 2010, The International Academy of Amman held its Official Chartering Meeting for the Interact Club of Amman Jerash, an affiliate of Rotary International. The meeting included a presentation, and a video of other Interacts worldwide. Many past presidents of Rotary Club of Amman Jerash were present and spoke at the meeting enthusiastically. This club was founded by twelfth grade student Jamil Muna, who spoke eloquently during the proceedings, discussing the startup and history of the foundation of the club. The students signed up for this club in the end of the last academic year and have now been presented with official Interact Pins and Certification forms. This club’s launch looks very promising, considering the fact of the true spirit of helping the community that fills the air at IAA. The main aim of this club is raising money through creative fundraisers, and finding applicants for an IAA Grant or Scholarship to local universities. This initiative is very ambitious and with the help of IAA students it will be achieved efficiently and effectively. This club will be one of the regular CAS activities. Jamil Muna is the Club President and Samiha Awad is the Secretary.
