IAA celebrated Independence day by raising money for a local charity, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. Students challenged themselves to run certain number of laps around the track, and in return sought pledges for their efforts to help a local Jordanian charity. Our students, parents and teachers collectively ran over 10,000 laps!
IAA hosted its very first Primary Science Fair on May 16. All Grade 5 students participated with a select few moving on to represent the Primary School in the school wide finalist fair on May 22.
Our Director Dr. Hana presented her annual Business Plan for the 2012-2013 academic year this past Tuesday. Also during this session Ms. Chris presented curriculum improvements and more goals for next year, and the IAA Volunteer committee introduced themselves and encouraged membership from all parents.
This past weekend IAA students participated in the Formula 1 In School Competition. This event was held in the Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education. Despite IAA’s late participation, our team achieved the 5th place and the award of the Best Presentation.
The final day of Zade Dirani's performance, Zade was kind enough to host a workshop for IAA parents, teachers and students. Our students were thrilled to listen to him perform and share his experiences, as well as get the opportunity to play duets with him on our very own IAA stage! This was a fantastic opportunity for the IAA community to engage in a very special experience.
