President's Letter
Esteemed delegates,
Welcome to the Kurdish Summit. My name is Bana Othman, I'm a senior in the International Academy Amman. This experience is going to be one of a kind, and hopefully a wonderful opportunity for all of us alongside my Deputy President Yousef Al-Zoubi, and my Chair Raed Asali.
The Kurdish Summit is not an easy committee, but rather an intriguing one, where normal MUN rules are set aside. As a fringe committee, it steps outside these boundaries and creates a more creative and flexible atmosphere, creating unexpected turns and showcases how diplomacy unfolds in real time. While exploring the struggles of a stateless nation scattered all across Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Turkey, you will be navigating the challenges of these people, by examining the effects of power dynamics and political alliances that can change in an instant. Through all these struggles, the goal is to create a viable solution for the Kurds and countries surrounding them.
I encourage you all to come prepared, not only through your research but come with a mindset that is going to encourage you to showcase your boldness and creativity. The Kurdish Summit will push you to think beyond the boundaries, act fast in demanding situations, and navigate for a proper outcome.
Sincerely,
Bana Othman
President of the Kurdish Summit
