President's Letter

Distinguished delegates,
It is an honor to serve as this year's president for the United States Presidential Election: 1948. My name is Talin Malki. I am a senior at the Modern American School and I am proud to chair alongside my Deputy-President Jad Shakshakir and chair Sasha Abu-Sawwa to bring you an engaging and productive conference. For decades the United States has been the center of power, pressuring and swaying countries' decisions. What happens when the citizens choose a different side, one that causes the country to go into turmoil? Across all the Agendas in the USPE 1948 you as delegates will aim to solve domestic and international problems the United States is facing by winning states for your political party. Your ability to convince the people of your plans and proposals for this country's future such as immigration, environmental, economic, and trade policies will help determine the outcome. You must be strategic with your approaches on winning over states and their residents. Once all states have casted their votes a President and ruling party for the Senate will be chosen. May the odds be in your favor.
I am looking forward to meeting each and every single one of you. I can't wait to see how you will all contribute both collectively and individually to this committee. My goal and hope for this conference is that you as individuals will become more critical and questioning towards the unfair systems placed by those in power.
Good Luck !!!
Talin Malki,
President of The United States Presidential Election: 1948
