President's Letter

Distinguished Delegates,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to MINI IMUN this year. My name is Mohammad Dajani, and I have the honor of serving as your President for this year's conference alongside my chairs Jana Abdo and Lara Hamarneh . I look forward to the thoughtful debates, fresh perspectives, and powerful ideas that will take place over the course of our sessions.
In a world that is constantly evolving, it is more important than ever for young leaders like yourselves to engage with global issues through dialogue and diplomacy. This year, we will be addressing two urgent and interconnected topics: 1. Discussing solutions to the global poverty crisis
2. Evaluating the effectiveness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Here, we are looking at something even more fundamental than policy, we are looking at justice, equity, and the future we are all building together. These issues are even more profound. As delegates, we expect both keen intellect and warm humanity from you. We are going to aim to have a reasoned debate, but we also aim to have full understanding. We are going to aim to have dialogue, but we also want to give full attention. Mini IMUN is tailored for as many of you to have a voice. No matter whether you have attended many other conferences or you are stepping out for the first time, seek to outdo your past and encourage your peers to do the same. Most importantly, I want all of you to be unashamedly audacious. The solutions we strive to accomplish start from the discussions we have here.
I am personally very excited to see the passion, the discipline, and the wonderful capabilities that you all offer. Let me also echo the same desire that I have for all of you on making sure that the conference truly stays within our best memories.
Warm regards,
Mohammad Dajani
President of Mini IMUN
